From vintner Michele Alois, the 2017 Pallagrello Nero Cunto (named after the local word for a "recount" or "story") gives us a dark and rich interpretation of this native grape found primarily in areas of Caserta province north of Naples. This is a historic wine and one of the most authentic and transparent expressions of the beloved Pallagrello Nero grape, with its wild berry, bramble and tarry aromas. There is some bitterness and sourness on the close, so make sure to pair this bottle with a cheese-heavy pasta dish.
