Terre Del Volturno, Campania
Red wine from Italy
Drinking window: 2025 - 2030
The 2018 Pallagrello Nero Murella grumbles up from the glass, leading off with a whiff of crushed ashen stones that evolve into waves of citrus-tinged blackberries and savory herbs. This is texturally deep and nearly creamy in feel. It's lifted and sleek, with crisp wild berry fruits mixing with its saline-mineral core. Mint and savory spice nuances mingle as the 2018 flexes its structural muscles, finishing long and youthfully tense. This is fantastic, especially in the context of the vintage.
