Alois’s 2004 Trebulanum is made from Casavecchia, an ancient variety native to the province of Caserta that has recently been re-discovered. This dense, mouthfilling wine is loaded with tons of character in its powerful expression of dark fruit, menthol, minerals and underbrush. It is a delicious red to enjoy now and over the next few years. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2014.
