Very dark ruby. Despite being eight years old, this is still rather monotonal and shut down only hinting at blueberry, dark plum, tar and herbal aromas and flavours. Very solid, serious wine boasting fine tannins and plenty of structure, but still needs to be cellared to allow it to open further. If you must open a bottle, then decant at least four hours ahead. Drinking window: 2028-2033.
