This falanghina from Alois comes from estate vineyards up in the Campania hills off of volcanic soils. The alcohol is elevated (14.5) but so are the acids, clocking in at more than eight (tA). There really is no need for extra lees addendum because the varietal-location relationship already causes a creamy and dreamy texture so keeping the wine clean results in purity and zero distraction. The balance is spot, struck and positively on. All normal numbers and better for it with everything falling or rather writing across the same page. Drink 2020-2024. Tasted March 2020.
