Bright golden-tinged colour. Honey, banana and guava on the inviting nose. Then slightly more subdued in the mouth, with herbal and reticent yellow fruit flavours with an overlay of vanilla and other sweet spices. Closes with good length and slightly oaky, though this is reportedly aged 85% in stainless steel and 15% in oak. A wine that is well thought of by many, I don't know if it was my bottle or if I just caught this vintage of Morrone at an awkward time, but at six years of age, I think it ought to be showing plenty more. Drinking window: 2023-2026.
