White wine from Italy
Drinking window: 2023 - 2026
Sweetly scented and impossible to ignore, the 2022 Pallagrello Bianco Caiatì opens in the glass with notes of peach and mango complemented by sweet white flowers and a dusting of spice. This soothes with its cooling acidity as lime-tinged orchard fruits and ripe green melon hints wash across the senses. It finishes long, potent and fresh, leaving traces of tropical citrus and fresh mint lingering.

For readers looking to explore off the beaten path, Alois produces several bottlings of Casavecchia, Pallagrello Nero and Pallagrello Bianco that are all worth seeking out. Moreover, Michele Alois provides in-depth details of soil, elevation, vine training, yields and élevage on the back of each bottle. All of the reds are refined in large wooden vats with similar days of maceration, allowing for a more reliable study of terroir and vintage.
