Terre Del Volturno, Campania
Red wine from Italy
Drinking window: 2024 - 2030
The 2018 Pallagrello Nero Cunto is remarkably pretty, wafting up with a violet-tinged blend of lavender, wet stone and freshly sliced plums. It’s silky and enveloping, showcasing polished red and black fruits that slowly saturate the palate as a web of minerality adds further traction toward the close. This finishes structured and long, ending on blue and purple inner florals and a salted licorice note. Think of this like Pallagrello Nero with training wheels, making for a great introduction to the variety.
